September sure went by quickly. We brought fall layers into our Kingston and Ithaca shops, then spent Apple Fest meeting people who were just getting to know our new shop on the Ithaca Commons and sampling wine from City Winery in Kingston. I always enjoy hearing what brings someone in and seeing what they find.
The first cool mornings in Kingston brought me back to what I love about getting dressed this time of year. I’m reaching for an old jacket, finding a favorite flannel and wondering how I can own so many sweaters and still want one more. Maybe that’s part of the fun. You go back to the pieces you know and still leave room for something new.
October is a good month to get out and look around. We’ll be at Field + Supply by the Hudson River from October 9 to 11, and O+ Festival will bring art and music to Kingston. If you’re out exploring the murals, stop by our John Street shop along the way. Or take the long way through town and see what catches your eye.
On Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM to 2 PM, join us at Hamilton & Adams in Kingston for Waxed & Worn. We’re celebrating the launch of Line of Trade at H&A, with complimentary chainstitch customization on the Waxed Ranch Jacket. Then stop by on Halloween, Saturday, October 31, for treats, and our biggest sale of the year.
Fall is made for hardworking jackets, soft flannels, textured sweaters and easy layers that look better with time. You’ll find them in our Kingston and Ithaca shops and online, ready for a workday, a long weekend, a walk outside or wherever the day takes you.
At H&A, we hope you find something you didn’t know you were looking for, a place you’re glad you stopped or a new favorite you’ll reach for year after year.
Stay curious,
—Andrew
