Celebrating 5 years

It's hard to believe that we've reached this milestone.

50% of small businesses never make it 5 years, and  when we started this journey, we weren't entirely sure what would happen.  Sure we had experience running other people's businesses, but that's extremely different and only helps so much.  Knowing what needs to get done vs having the resources to get it all done are 2 very different things.

In 2017 we launched and had a casual selection of men's apparel, accessories, skin care and curiosities.  Over time we've stayed pretty true to that aesthetic, but have expanded to offer a full range of women's apparel and accessories with a connected storefront that opened Holiday 2020. Never resting, we continued to expand in 2021 and  connected the men’s and women’s shops when the coveted corner location became available -  now housing a range of home goods, kids novelty t's, and the ever expanding Upstate & Chill® Shop.

Over 5 years we've experienced a lot. We've won Best Menswear in the Hudson Valley 3 times. We've been shut for months due to COVID, and relaunched our website twice. We've also extended the Hamilton & Adams brand into wholesale with products now being sold in over 25 (and counting) amazing retail partners across New York.

At the end of the day though, we really need to thank you, our devoted customers and fans! You've been on this journey with us, every step of the way. You have come to buy those special birthday and holiday gifts. You have shopped with us for that special shirt or dress. You have come by after the farmers market on Saturday, after a refuel at Rough Draft or sometimes just to hangout Upstate & Chill.

We're so honored to have you on this journey with us and we’re still just getting started!. We're committed to offering things that you are excited about, that have purpose, and are unique that help you live a life full of discovery and curiosity.

Thank you for everything, and don’t forget to stay curious about the world around you!

Happy 5th Anniversary! I grew up in Kingston back in the 70’s and Uptown was our hangout as little kids. From Woolworth’s for a malt shake to Dallas Hot Weiners for the best hot dogs and fries. And of course my favorite – Deisings! We would shop at London’s, Yallums, Maggies’s Mason Jar, and Ace Army & Navy for our Lee denim or corduroy are overalls. The best! Haven’t been back to Kingston in years. Planning a visit this fall, so I will definitely stop by and say Hi and shop for sure. Cheers to many more years of staying curious!
