Women's Alpaca Boot Sock

Each pair of American Trench Alpaca Boot Socks are knit from nearly a quarter pound of un-dyed 100% American alpaca yarn. They're based on a military spec boot sock and a whole notch thicker and warmer than the previous style of alpaca socks we offered. Meant to be worn inside of boots and in colder weather with a terry knit interior for extra warmth and a redesigned external toe seam for extra comfort. They would also work inside roomier sneaker styles and sneaker boot hybrids.

  • Contents: 78% alpaca / 21% nylon / 1% spandex
  • Care: machine wash cold (gentle cycle), lay flat to dry (will shrink up a bit after first wash)

Knit from 100% American alpaca yarn. What makes alpaca special? Alpaca is warmer, stronger, lighter and softer than other quality contenders for high-end luxury materials such as cashmere and merino wool. Alpaca is famous for its luxurious fleece and its versatility: it won’t shrink or pill if given correct care, it is hyper allergenic and has water resistant properties. Alpaca absorbs little humidity from the surrounding environment and it thermally insulating, making it perfect for winter wear, as well as for accessories for outdoor sports such as hiking and skiing.

Fit: One size (US women's 6-10), high crew

Knit in the Hickory region of North Carolina at a family owned knitting mill operating at the same location for over thirty years. The Hickory region has been a concentrated center for hosiery knitting mills, yarn spinning companies, and dye houses stretching back to the 1930s and 40s.
